VT Holdings acquires South West auto retailer

South West and Wales-based auto retailer Wessex Garages has been acquired by Japanese automotive group VT Holdings. The deal, which was for an undisclosed sum, sees VT Holdings add seven sites to its growing portfolio.

Established almost 30 years ago, Wessex Garages operates sites in Bristol, Cardiff, Newport and Gloucester, and represents Hyundai, Dacia, Renault, Abarth, Nissan, Kia, Fiat and Alfa Romeo. It recently completed the development of a new Nissan retail site on the outskirts of Bristol.

Keith Brock, Wessex Garages managing director, has said that he will continue as the company’s managing director, and that it will be “business and usual for all our staff and customers.”
