Acquisition sees Vantage grow Citroen portfolio

Vantage Motor Group has acquired the Blackpool-based Citroen auto retailer previously operated by Lookers. Located on Amy Johnson Way, the site’s 20 staff will be retained by Vantage. This latest acquisition joins the auto retailer’s existing Morecambe Citroen franchise in Lancashire, and the retailer expects to sell around 400 new and 600 used cars each year.

The expansion of Vantage’s Citroen network follows a busy 2016 for the retailer. The purchase of a Leeds-based Toyota and Lexus business plus a Wakefield-based Toyota franchise at the beginning of the year was later followed by the development of a new Mazda retailer in Oldham and a Kia retailer in Bradford.
