Eastern Western Motor Group has reported a rise in profits in its latest results for 2016. The group report a rise of almost 7% to £9.6 million. Like-for-like new car sales grew by 3% and used car sales by 10%, while aftersales revenue increased by 9%.

The Scottish dealer group has been undergoing significant expansion.  Last year they opened a new Mazda and Nissan dealership at Edinburgh’s Luxury Car Village. However it pulled out of Alfa Romeo, Suzuki and Seat, saying there was insufficient scale.

Eastern Western has also opened new training facilities, boosted servicing and purchased land for two further dealerships in Sterling. The group also holds franchises for Mercedes, Smart, BMW, Mini, Honda, Lexus, Toyota and VW.
