Korean 4×4 brand SsangYong is strengthening its presence in Scotland with 2 new franchised dealers;  Frasers of Edinburgh, and Lawrence of Kemnay in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

This is the second SsangYong delaership for Frasers, who already have a successful site in Falkirk. They are now SsangYongs  largest dealer in Scotland.

Andrew Dickson, director and dealer principal of Frasers says: “The decision was an easy one to make.  It’s quite a commitment to take on a new franchise in a capital city but we have a proven track record with SsangYong.  We know what we can do with the range and want to grow our customer base and expand.

“SsangYong offers great value for money and has a superb product line-up” says Andrew.  “Rexton, ‘4×4 of the Year’, is exceptionally good-value in comparison to what else is on the market.  Tivoli is in a very popular segment of the market; it’s well-priced with a fantastic warranty to back it up.  We also have the new Musso pick-up to look forward to, while the Korando has an exceptionally good reputation within the caravanning fraternity. We get a huge amount of repeat business and winning Towcar of the Year was huge!”

Gavin Chalmers, dealer principal of Lawrence of Kemnay commented, “We’re very pleased to have taken on the SsangYong franchise, and look forward to growing our business as a result.  SsangYong has a great range  with very competitive pricing and a 5-year limitless mileage warranty on every car. We believe it will do extremely well in Aberdeenshire.”

Nick Laird, managing director of SsangYong Motor UK welcomed both companies to the network. “We and our dealers are focused on giving customers great service, and that is what Frasers have achieved in Falkirk.  Value for money brands have historically done extremely well in Scotland, and we are delighted Frasers have decided to expand into Edinburgh. We are also very pleased to now have Lawrence of Kemnay representing us further north in Inverurie; they have huge local presence and a long history of retailing.”
