Rockar partners with Jaguar Land Rover

Online and shopping centre-based auto retailer Rockar has announced plans to expand its operations. Until now, the business founded by Simon Dixon has concentrated on its two Hyundai franchises located in shopping centres in Bluewater, Kent and Westfield Stratford, East London.

September sees the retailer move into the premium market with Jaguar Land Rover. First with an online store and servicing facility, and then in October with a bricks and mortar showroom at Westfield Stratford.

Visitors to the new Rockar Jaguar Land Rover Stratford store will be greeted by specially trained ‘Angels’, product experts who are paid to serve not to sell. Staff can offer advice, help customers use the in-store Rockar system and show them around the six vehicles on display. Once visitors have gathered all the information they need they can complete their purchase on the Rockar website – either in-store or at home.

Dixon, who founded the Rockar brand in 2014, partnered with Hyundai to build an online car retailing experience and supporting showroom facility in Kent’s popular Bluewater retail park. The following year saw the business expand its physical presence, with the opening of a second showroom in East London’s Westfield Stratford retail centre.
