Skoda retailer makes progress with Harlow acquisition

Auto retailer Progress Group has added a new Skoda franchise to its portfolio. The acquisition of the Harlow-based former Spirit Skoda business, which was part of Group 1 Automotive, sees Progress Group add to its existing Bedford, Letchworth, Northampton and Kettering operations.

Located on Edinburgh Way, Harlow, the newly acquired retailer boasts a nine-car showroom, six service bays and space for 50 used vehicles on site. It also complies with the OEM’s latest CI. As part of the sale, existing staff will transfer over to the new business.

Operating across Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, Progress Group also runs Suzuki franchises in Kettering and Milton Keynes, the latter acquired in 2015 and the former in 2014.
