New chief executive for Peugeot Citroen Retail Group

James Weston has been named as the new Chief Executive of Peugeot Citroen Retail UK. He replaces David Peel, who recently took up the position of Managing Director of Peugeot Motor Company.

Weston was previously Peugeot Citroen Retail UK Sales Operations Director, and first started in the motor trade in 1997. He joined his current employer in 2001 as an assistant sales manager at Robins & Day and, after a number of increasingly senior roles, joined the head office team as Sales Director in 2013.

Commenting on his new role, Weston said: “Peugeot Citroen Retail Group has experienced significant growth in recent years, with excellent levels of sales across all channels, improved customer satisfaction and importantly enhanced levels of profitability. Our people are pivotal to our success and I am determined to continuously develop the engagement within our teams to further improve our performance in 2016 and beyond.”
