LSH Auto UK are seeking approval for a new Mercedes-Benz dealership in Tamworth.  It is part of a planning application for a retail and business park in Tamworth.

A month ago planners at Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council gave approval to their £60 million Mercedes-Benz and Smart dealership.

LSH Auto UK is part of the Hong Kong-based global automotive retailing group Lei Shing Hong.  They are the largest retailer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the world. Launched in 1972, they  have over 140 Mercedes-Benz dealerships in coutries as diverse as the UK, Germany, China, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and Cambodia.

In June 2016 LSH acquired nine dealerships from the Mercedes-Benz Retail Group. These included Birmingham Central, Tamworth, Solihull, Birmingham Used Cars, Manchester Central, Whitefield, Macclesfield, Stockport and Manchester Used Cars.  All 596 staff were retained at the affected sites.
