Lookers opens £multi-million hub in Middlesbrough
Lookers has opened its £6 million new and used vehicle multi-franchise hub in Middlesbrough. As well as multi-franchise vehicle sales, the centre will focus on all-electric driving including specialist servicing, maintenance and body repair. The site also houses Ford and BYD dealerships.
Lookers’ investment in the site will contribute towards Middlesbrough Council’s ambition of becoming net carbon neutral by 2029.
One Stop Shop
Duncan McPhee, Lookers’ COO, said: “Lookers Car HUB in Middlesbrough offers a one stop shop where customers can buy a quality new or used vehicle, book in for repair work for any car brand, recharge or refuel their car, and learn about the future of sustainable motoring.”
“With space for more than 300 cars, an onsite workshop and Middlesbrough’s first EV Experience Centre packed with resources, we’re proud to be leading the charge for a greener, more sustainable future in Teesside and the wider area.”

The site measures an impressive 25,500 square metres and includes six 150kW EV rapid chargers, capable of providing a 100-kilometre range within six minutes.
Open 24 hours a day, the new EV charging hub is capable of powering up to 480 cars a single day.
