Auto retailer JCT600 has started work on a new Porsche Centre in Teesside. The 35,707 sq ft facility will occupy a 2.6 acre site on Concorde Way near Stockton, and joins the retailer’s existing Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle Porsche Centres.

Scheduled to open for business in summer 2017, the Centre will include a nine bay workshop, MoT bay, four-wheel alignment facilities, energy efficient lighting and an executive-themed customer lounge. The development will consist of two buildings, with showroom capacity for 15 cars plus space for 40 used vehicles.

Commenting on the development, John Tordoff, JCT600 chief executive, said: “We have enjoyed a long and productive relationship with Porsche and are proud to be working with the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer to develop a new presence for the prestigious marque in Teesside.

“For over two years, we have been searching for a site where we can showcase the stunning range of Porsche models and believe this prime location, just outside Stockton and close to the A66, will give customers throughout North Yorkshire and the North East easier access to sales and servicing of Porsche cars. The new centre will also have a positive impact on the region bringing such a high quality business to the area and is expected to create 30 new jobs.”
