Jardine presses ahead with JLR plans

Jardine Motors, the auto retailer operating 23 brands across more than 70 UK locations, has opened a new Land Rover retailer in Wolverhampton. The new venture brings Jardine’s representation of the premium brand to six sites. However, this latest development is a temporary one, as Jardine Motors completes the construction of an all-new showroom and service facility.

Despite construction expected to take around 18 months, the retailer has already recruited 38 staff for its new operation. This move is in line with the OEM’s plan to shake-up the retailer network; Jaguar Land Rover is on track to completing a common ownership model, whereby a retailer operates both brands under one roof by adopting its latest CI and separates the two brands through two distinct showroom environments.
