Auto retailer Cambria Automobiles has posted a positive first half year results, with the company recording improvements across new and used car sales plus aftersales activities.

For the half year to 29 February, the company’s pre-tax profits increased by 40.1 percent to £4.6 million on turnover of £278.4 million – itself up 14.7 percent. New car sales were up 5.1 percent, while used car sales increased by 4.4 percent. Aftersales revenues rose by 8.6 percent.

Recent activity has included the acquisition of the Welwyn Garden City Land Rover retail site and the disposal of its Exeter Jaguar franchise.
