Phil White Steps Down as Vantage Chairman
Vantage Motor Group non-executive chairman Phil White is stepping down from the board this month.
White, the former chairman of Lookers, is expected to hand over full control and ownership of the Group to Tim Swindin, CFO and Andrew Mallory, COO.
With an annual turnover of £206.9m, Vantage Motor Group operates eleven Toyota and Lexus dealerships in North and West Yorkshire and Lancashire, one Kia dealership in North Yorkshire and one Skoda dealership in Lancashire.
White joined the Vantage board in 2006 and will continue to be involved as an adviser during 2024.
White said “Our people at Vantage are the heart of our business and are well known in their local communities for how they serve our customers.
“I would like to thank them for all their support, especially in the more challenging times of recent years. Tim and Andrew have the drive and energy to build on this support to take Vantage into the future and continue to develop the business.” White went on to express his sadness at leaving the Group but said he felt it was the right thing to do as he approached his retirement.
Andrew Mallory and Tim Swindin said “We would like to thank Phil for his huge contribution in making Vantage Motor Group the successful and respected business that it is today. We are excited about the future and can assure all colleagues, customers, manufacturer partners and suppliers that it will be business as usual at Vantage Motor Group for many years to come.”
